Bruce Postle Event in Clunes
Lyn and Peter Lawrence had their book personally signed by Bruce Postle.
Legendary Australian Photojournalist Inspires
Ten of our members attended Bruce Postle's talk in Clunes yesterday. The venue was the Union Bank Arts Studio in Fraser Street. It was a chance to see the images of one of the nation's most awarded photographers, and hear the story behind each one. The story behind the photo of Tommy Woodcock and his horse Reckless was certainly a highlight.
If you couldn't make it yesterday, you might like to Watch a Bruce Postle Interview.

Gold Nugget Tip: Those of us lucky enough to see Bruce speak at the 2012 VAPS Convention all agree, he has an incredible body of work and a gift for telling the story behind each image. Do yourself a favour and see this event. You won't be disappointed.
His book, Bruce Postle : The Image Maker is beautifully presented and would be a worthy addition to any library.

Hot Air Balloon over Cairn Curran
Earlier this year we noticed on a number of occasions a hot air balloon taking flight over the Lake. On this particular day, it looks like the balloon wanted to get up and personal with the Lake. Moments later it rose up and drifted away.

Painting with Light Practical Night
Camera Club Live Blog
Tonight's meeting is officially under way. We're blogging as the meeting is taking place. Once we finish general business, we'll begin a Painting with Light practical night.
Digital Photography Practical Night
We have given the group four Painting with Light challenges to accomplish before the end of the night. The Challenges are as follows:
1. Write you name with light.
2. Capture a Light Beam.
3. Use White Balance to alter the colour of the light.4. Create Rim Lighting around your subject.
Chris and Richard waste no time getting started and seem happy with their initial results. It's Nikon vs Canon respectively… this could get ugly.
Karen has the right attitude. Dale prefers to have all his ducks in a row before jumping in. If this stuff was easy everyone would be doing it.
