Photo Walk Description

Overview…

Trentham is a small country township in central Victoria, nestled at the very top of the Great Dividing Range mid-way between Woodend and Daylesford, approximately one hour from Melbourne. With its charming historic buildings, award-winning eateries and beautiful lake and gardens, it’s an ideal rural location to visit for the Seventh Annual Worldwide Photo Walk. If you enjoy making photographs, with any type of camera from an iPhone to a DSLR, you’re welcome to come along and join in the fun on Saturday, 11 October 2014.

We will start our walk at the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre, shortly after 11.00 a.m. From there we’ll wander down quiet town streets, past the old railway station, around the lake and up and down the main street before finishing up in the gardens of The Cosmopolitan Hotel. There will be plenty of opportunities for streetscapes, landscapes, architecture, nature and abstract photography. After the walk concludes at about 1.00 p.m. we’ll meet up to socialise, enjoy lunch and refreshments and share our images.

ABC Open Photographic Workshop

Last weekend, Heather, Noel and myself attended a free outdoor ABC Open photography workshop set in the beautiful surrounds of Mount Buangor State Park.

Ferntree Falls was the spectacular venue for a photography workshop conducted by ABC Open Producer Larissa Romensky. The day consisted of an information session on landscape photography, a photographic challenge and a guided tour of the Ferntree Falls by Parks Victoria Ranger Tony Veit.
