Closeup encounters

I must say this is an internet display category that I could flood with photos as it is one of my favorite subjects (but I won't boor you) .

Picnic Day at Vaughan Springs

Our group assembled in Maryborough and confirmed a route by which we could travel to the Vaughan Mineral Springs Campground. The route was as follows: Maryborough > Carisbrook > Moolort > Newstead > Guildford and then on to Vaughan.
It was a sunny Spring day and Vaughan offered up more than it's fair share of photo opportunities. We arrived at the Mineral Springs Campground to find the C.F.A conducting a "Teddy Bears Picnic" themed family day, complete with coffee kiosk. Cappoccinos got the heart started, along with rides on the oversized slide that the campground boasted.
The Loddon River runs through the campground and the area is quite picturesque. We dispersed to take shots for an hour or two, then regrouped by the river for a picnic lunch.
Vaughan Springs was well worth the trip, and the club has plans for a return trip in the future.
Highly Recommended: The campground slide; Tasting the local Natural Spring Water.
