Bruce Postle Event in Clunes

Above: Lyn and Peter Lawrence had their book personally signed by Bruce Postle.

Legendary Australian Photojournalist Inspires

Ten of our members attended Bruce Postle's talk in Clunes yesterday. The venue was the Union Bank Arts Studio in Fraser Street. It was a chance to see the images of one of the nation's most awarded photographers, and hear the story behind each one. The story behind the photo of Tommy Woodcock and his horse Reckless was certainly a highlight.

If you couldn't make it yesterday, you might like to Watch a Bruce Postle Interview.

Gold Nugget Tip: Those of us lucky enough to see Bruce speak at the 2012 VAPS Convention all agree, he has an incredible body of work and a gift for telling the story behind each image. Do yourself a favour and see this event. You won't be disappointed.
His book, Bruce Postle : The Image Maker is beautifully presented and would be a worthy addition to any library.

Mount Beckworth Scenic View

Scenic view from Mount Beckworth, Clunes, Victoria. Looking toward the Waubra Wind Farm . . . . . Taken at 6:45pm, early in October from the top of Mt Beckworth. I'd taken some shots at the Waubra Windfarm earlier in the day, and you can just make out some of the wind turbines in the top left hand corner of this photo (enlarged).
